Klint
Age: 34
Starting Polar BodyAge: 37
Trainer: Jeff
Why did you decide to put your name forward for this competition?
I wanted to get in shape and thought this competition would motivate me.
What are you ultimately trying to accomplish? What is your goal(s)?
To lose about 10lbs while increasing body strength and learn some other techniques to keep in shape.
What is your fitness background and how active were you leading to this competition?
I play a lot of sports that are anaerobic (ball, hockey) and only weight train in off seasons. 10 ball games a week (summer), 2 hockey games a week (winter)
How are things going so far?
I am feeling stronger already; I have hit my modest weight loss goal and may be open to more as long as the strength goes up. Still a little sore everyday.
Is it what you expected?
The training is more than I expected but it is good.
What's the toughest thing you've done so far?
Working on core muscles is tough for me as it seems it is an area of neglect. Also the commitment to get up in the mornings is a challenge.
Who is going to win the contest?
Too early to tell, I'd like it to be me, however Tyler seems to be very dedicated working out everyday. I plan to counter with working out at home as much as I can and try to make it in one extra time each week outside of the trainer. This will commence in week 3 is my plan (Week of July 19th).
MacEwan Centre personal Trainer Jeff comments on Klint's progress.
How is Klint doing?
Klint is doing great. He is working extremely hard during our sessions.
Are you starting to see improvements?
So far we are seeing an increase in strength and an increase in cardiovascular endurance.
Can he win it?
Yes, Klint can win. If he can stay on track with the Cardio and Nutritional guidance he has a great chance to win the competition.
